The starting point of the MIGRACORV project resulted from the identification of overexploitation risks to the species  associated

with the scarcity of data that support the implementation of sustainable management of fisheries targeting the meagre.

Did you know that the meagre

Has a well-developed set of sonic muscles associated with the gas bladder, usually larger in males, allowing the production of very intense sounds during the spawning season or in stressful circumstances.
